Born into a world of research and scientific studies Huyana was removed from her loving family at the age of five, brought into a facility attempting to study time travel. Following with tons of blood tests, Yana saw a lot of dead people being removed from the test area's; ages and genders ranged from toddlers to elderly. After a year of the scientists testing Yana they finally sent her to one of the major testing facilities, this is when they decided to place her into one of the large machines designed for time traveling. And a moment before the final process tiny thuds of the six year old Yana pounding on the large metal could have been heard as she cried in fear. This small girl woke in a vast land, with no one around only the small animals and a spread of earth. Yana spent days walking her small body to find someone, something to help her. A majority of the time she cried small sobs, a small girl not knowing what to do or how to survive alone.

One a final day, Yana was food deprived and on the brink of death from lack of nutrition a hunter found the small girl and brought her back to his village. The people of this Miwok tribe cared for the girl until she was able to move about normally again. They called her "Girl" because in their tribe a person needed to earn a name. So she spent the years learning, taking in knowledge of this tribe. Being taught the ways of hunting she quickly became skilled with a bow. Yana learned how to be swift, steady and cunning and more so than the members in the tribe. This gained her the name Huyana, in the tribe this meant 'falling rain' the chief explaining that Yana was elegant yet quick as a rain storm. And not long after gaining this name for herself she soon gained a totem of the 'fox', received due to her many qualities of this animal.

Huyana had began to increase her abilities with her bow against quick moving animals, and even other warriors. Placed in situations where she had to defend her people, always outsmarting her opponents with speed and accuracy. But soon into her late age of nine-teen a large amount of slavers raided her home along with taking her people and killing others, and even some rape among the group. Yana fought with her might, until her soul was released from that land.
