The Hunt Begins

After Asei confirmed where Will wanted to look she used the hairclip to open a portal for the both of them. This was now something she could easily do, sometimes a bit harder when she did not know the location but most of the time she did fine. The entire time of shadowing Will and looking into that book the only thing Asei could question was.. What was happening in this world? When all the Avatars joined and made that arrangement, things seemed to really get insane. She really tried to make sense of all the details, every piece of what was there, but it was all almost random.

Asei stepped from the portal, making sure Will was able to get down without jumping too far to get there. As the portal closed behind him Asei felt a cool breeze against her face, closing her eyes and breathing in the salty air that she grew so fond of. Turning back to Will watching him, taking in the view of his entire being. "I am a bit worried about searching out a creature we know little about.."

Asei listened to his words, taking in all of the information and just as he closed the book her feet began to move towards the inner section of the island. As quickly as he began to note her to call onto a sword and shield she had already been doing so, over the time learning how Will thought Asei manage to most of the time figure him out. In her left hand a thick sharp medium,  sized sword and her right a round medium sized metal shield, an indent in the center with a metal bar going across for easy grip and less chance of dropping, the sword was fit for quick but effective slices.

"Don't do anything stupid Will. I mean it." Asei glared behind her towards the male. Before slowing a bit for him to catch up completely, Asei looked around the area, it had been obvious this creature was hidden some where nearby. She was a bit nervous since she could not see what she was seeking out. Asei filled Will's bag with the throwing knives he'd requested making sure it was full before moving once more, taking shorter steps now into the shadowed area of the island. More so she'd hope that fighting this beast was the last choice because Asei hated placing Will in dangerous situations in his state of health.

Seeing the two beings draw closer the creature began to recede back make a low pitched cooing sound, as they grew closer from that point on the cooing sound became more and more high pitched the closer they had gotten, as Asei took a single step into the shadowy area, the sound had completely stopped. The creature panicked as its eyes twitched back and forth, its tentacles then thrust themselves forward grabbing a hold of trees and branches slingshotting itself into the sky. 

It began to spit ink all over the area, from above, and then taking two form of stones it quickly lit the ink on fire, as the flames moved in a such a way as a means to trap the both of them in this fire. It then began to flee, running towards the open ocean in hopes of a successful get away.

Will was not one to play games, he dropped his cane the instant he had taken the beast and used some of the built up will power to temporarily give him what he needed to not feel the pain of his body doing what he ordered it to do. "Pain is temporary... failure is forever" He told himself, as he pulled out the throwing knives from his bag and lifted a cloud of sand from the ground in order to follow the creature. He threw the daggers as a way to block off the creatures exit towards the sea, and he followed the creature effectively doing so as a means of holding it back so Asei could capture it hopefully alive, the creature may have been immortal but it was not immune to pain.

Asei heard for a split moment the sounds that had no familiar sound as the normal wild would be. Then it stopped instantly, and within that moment she eyed this deformed creature. The trees and land shuddered as it made for an escape, the creature taking everything with it. And when the fire began to rise Asei panicked slightly but took this moment to allow Will to diverge this thing. Her feet pushed without thought kicking up loose sand beneath in thick like clouds, the sand slowed her down slightly but it was only a minor annoyance. Asei cut through the fire leaping over and bending her body in order to not catch aflame, as soon as the creature came back into view Asei went around it in order to block the path its path the deep waters.

The standard fine sword swung in Asei's hand, letting out a loud cry of force behind it in hopes of at least taking off one of the large long appendages. Her feet dug into the ground mid swing in order to push out a strong hit, and she held up the shield to her side mid length. It was obvious this creature would have an advantage if it became aggressive. Asei heard a knife fly by, as her sword slash went straight down. But only allowed it to bother her slightly, but unsure why he'd allow one to come so closely.

As quickly as Will yelled to Asei for a rope one appeared near him, but with the creature throwing him, he was further from the rope than Asei intended. Making her lose concentration on this beast for a moment too long as she fought against it grabbing her shield from her, using her sword to attempt to cut through the limbs managing one but only to see it had grown back once again. The shriek it sounded made Asei's ears ache some as her weapons just proofed to no where. Panic once again filled her mind, but Asei regained some of her thoughts only to punch at the tentacles trying to grab her as she started to move once again.

Her eyes were set for the rope that she spotted for Will, dodging as each limb attempted to grab her. One of the tentacles managing to hit against the side of her stomach knocking her into the sand, Asei ignored the sand grains scratching at her face and jumped to her feet once again grabbing the rope only a few feet away. Trying to calm herself in order to make something appear to help her, but Asei couldn't concentrate seeing Will too close to the creature.

Will crawled out of the water coughing as he found himself crippled once again. He coughed up the water from his lungs and tried his best to get a hold of the situation but he couldn't move.

The creature did not flinch at all as its tentacles ensnared Asei. They then began to pound her body into the dirt.

Before Asei could react to the tentacle wrapping around her she let out a sigh of air from the tightness. And her body was being thrown around against the ground, with each of these hits Asei began to inch her arms up from being trapped in the grasp until finally getting them free still holding the rope. However with each hit Asei began to lose any stability she had, and even if her plan to somehow use this rope to help her was seeming impossible. This creature gave Asei one strong pound into the ground this time, her head hitting roughly this time against the solid part of the ground. Dirt spreading out as a bit of blood mixes within it, Asei letting out a cry as she made impact. Her vision blurry now, blood hitting into her right eye, that moment Asei felt the push to fight back. Grabbing at this tentacle with her freed hands she moves her head up closer to it before allowing to sink her teeth into it, biting as hard as possible, the blood of the creature hitting her mouth, even swallowing some by accident. As it released her the creature cried out it's screech dropping Asei to the ground as she made a loud thump. Laying there almost unconscious.

The creatures screech was a painful one as it came to its senses it then decided to take this chance it had and fled. It jumped over will and sunk into the ocean depths fleeing to another island. It could be heard screeching as animals fled away from it, as it made its path.

Will had been crawling his way towards Asei, if anything he just wanted her to be okay. He found himself finally able to reach her after a bit of crawling, and he gently moved the hair out of her face to see that she was still breathing. He sighed with relief having learned his lesson. "I will give up on my goals of becoming an Avatar again if you promise to be okay right now"

As her spotted bloodied, damp hair was moved from her face, Asei's eyes faintly looked up at the fearful Will. Exhaling lightly to know he was fine right now, but not as happy to know what they came for had escaped. With the blow placing such a strong force to her skull it was nearly impossible for the woman to stay conscious. Her eyes slowly closing making her vision blurry until darkness approached within them.
