The Avatars of Eden

The Avatars are the governors of Eden and as such are enshrouded in Mystery, this topic intends to keep tabs on them as they are revealed through out the story. In total there are 18 Avatars each one representing something different.

The Avatar of Life

The first one, Origin, The Enlightened



The Avatar of Life was the first Avatar to reveal himself on Eden, his heralds are Chimera and none of his abilities have been seen, outside of the ability to summon clothes for humans in an act of sympathy.

The Avatar of Death

Emissary of Death, The Grim Reaper, The last one, The Master of All



Death was the second avatar to reveal himself to humans in Eden, albeit they had met him once before coming to Eden. He is the one who brings souls to Eden, apparently something that he hates doing. His heralds are the Hell Apes. He has displayed the abilities to exhale souls in the form of wisp, but outside of that information nothing else is really known.

The Avatar of Pride

The One who refuses to lose, The Master of All, The Winner



Pride was one of the few Avatars to reveal themselves only to specific people, Pride refuses to take more then one human under his eye, because he does not wish to lose to the other Avatars and only wants the strongest. Because of this he personally challenges each one of the humans he wakes up, and if they fail his test he kills them rather then send them off in the wild to become strong. It is also for this same reason that he does not have a herald as he chooses to better himself rather then depend on anything else. He often chooses the form of a female because they have more agile bodies and fit his fighting style better, then a male body would, one should take note that Avatars have no actual gender. Prides abilities range from creating random objectss from no where, too teleporting people from one place to another. That is the only real limit seen of his power so far.

The Avatar of Empathy

The kind one, The soother, The Pacifist, The Savior



Empathy is the kindest of all the Avatars, until meeting humans for the first time she refused to take on a herald until she had met every single one of the creatures she could choose from. After meeting humans for the first time she decided to make them her heralds and her champions. Empathy has been seen giving clothes to random Humans who have woken up and had none even when they were not her responsibility. The abilities Empathy possesses are truly a complete mystery but many humans note her to be big on physical contact which is abnormal compared to all the other avatars. Not much is known about Empathy other then her two Heralds are two humans that had recently awoken.

The Avatar of Rage

The God of War, Desolator, The Master of Death, King of Mortals, Aries



Rage is easily the most uncontrolled, unyielding Avatar, his opinion is solid and no logic will ever change that. He pulls his champions and the moment they awake he would normally force them to do battle against each other, he always wakes the heros in groups of 100+ pitting them all against himself, and he will fight and kill all of them until his rage subsides. Afterwards any of those who survived the battle were free to go out into the land. Often times in this battle his Herald Leveque, a stallion made of diamonds would call forth the Avatar of Pain so that Pain could feed upon the essence that makes him what he is. It is because of this that often times Pain will come to Rage's awakening and kill every last one of the champions that rage would not finish off. Rage's abilities  are unknown in terms of mystical or magical properties but when it comes down to his brute force no other avatar can match it.

Absolutely nothing is known about Pain other then he is an annoyance to Rage and his Herald.

The Avatar of Will

Master of Destiny, The cure to Insanity, The Wish Granter


Will is the most controlled of all the Avatars and rarely loses himself. He is the one Avatar who chose not to have a Champion and was instead forced to have one. His Herald is the Phoenix a creature of immortality.  Will also does not feed on human emotions to make himself stronger and instead keeps himself sustained by his own will power to not feed on the emotions of humans without permission. His abilities are vast as his main and most powerful ability is to make his will dominate reality. If something is wanted bad enough then it will be given if will utilizes his full potential. His powers do not come without consequence or restrictions as in the end they too are constructs of Eden.

The Avatar of Fear

Your Fucking Nightmare!


The Avatar of fear is a master of manipulating emotion induced by a perceived threat which causes entities to quickly pull far away from it and usually hide or defend themselves. Fear is also a thief, and a murderer and prides himself on taking all of the things that make ones existence bearable. While it has yet to be seen with Fear his Herald is a King Owl. Fear has the ability to shape shift into anything he pleases, and has been seen to have wide variety of illusion based attacks. Fear like the other Avatars can make tools from seemingly nothing, but can also use teleportation magic to create rifts in the universe for his Champions to go through.

In short, fear is a motivating force arising from the ability to recognize danger leading to an urge to confront it or flee from it (also known as the fight-or-flight response) but in extreme cases of fear (horror and terror) a freeze or paralysis response is possible.

The Avatar of Time

The Master of Progression, The Pathseeker, Father Time


The Avatar of Time is an embodiment of what things must come and what things must pass. This avatar has the abilities to look through all of the possible timelines through out eden, giving him a form of omnipotence above the other avatars as he can tell which path his current self is going down at all times, and possibly attempt to shift his reality into a more preferable one. Outside of telling people of their possible futures he has not been seen doing much and his Herald if living, has yet to be discovered.

The Avatar of Hope

The Best Avatar Ever! The master of Luck, The Go Big or Go Home, The man who doesn't need a plan, The heart of the roll


Hope. The basis of everything. His will to live and to believe in the seemingly impossible is what makes this Avatar stand out from the rest. While he can be in the darkest pit and all things seem bleak he will find that one spider's thread and hold on to it and with that he will spread a web of burning fire to make even the hopeless, hopeful. He is bound to his lover and protector, Luck. Together they compliment each other, Luck gives Hope the extra bit of oomph needed to accomplish his half baked, hardly ever planned ideas and schemes. He is a loaded gun waiting to go off and soon his time to shine will be here.

The Avatar of Courage

The one who seeks solutions, The one who will risk it all, The Prophet, Not Afraid


Fear is nothing but a tiny scared child to this monstrosity of an Avatar. This one just like Hope, knows what it takes to truly shine brightly in the dark. Although it can be mistaken for being cocky this Avatar tends to be more humble and down to earth. Unhindered by an actual body it allows for this masculine yet feminine avatar to stand back and observe the situation that would normally have others in a tizzy. However as down to earth it can be it does lose it every now and then when its in a dire situation. It will place all the chips on the table and take a gamble risking everything, even life itself just to make a stand or prove a point.

The Avatar Sloth

The beast waiting to get out, The face of mercy, Jackal and Hyde


Truly a mind boggling one. Sloth teeders on the fine line between madness and enlightenment. A dual faced character this Avatar is beastly when in its maddened state. Wanting to destroy all that stands before it but at the same time it only seeks out those who have done wrong to it. When not in a maddened state, Sloth is quite coy, often enjoying the game of cat and mouse with mind games. His intelligence ranks beyond what is comprehensible to any normal human brain. Most will have a hard time figuring out if Sloth has granted them the gift of mercy or is ready to slaughter them. Sloth can be mistaken for Rage when on a rampage but with the right tongue and words he can be pulled from it. Just a word of caution to anyone who crosses paths with Sloth, do not mention his other half...He's none too fond of it.

The Avatar of Lust

The temptress, Love Incarnate, Cupid


Lust. Love. Sex. Power. While her body, looks, and voice ooze poisoned honey she is a force to be rekoned with. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Never compare her beauty to that of mortal gods or goddessess, she is in her own world. Seperate from all things that one could even imagine to compare her to. She is vain and cruel. Her stilleto heel will crush your throat as you beg her to grant you just a glance. She is what the world desires, no matter where she walks the world is brought to their knees in her presence. Her physical perfection is beyond god like, she is a fantasy that tantilizes even the most prudish of creatures. She'll bring about complete harmony with the lift of her veiled eyes or the complete and utter submission of the strongest willed. Its a primal urge that can not be supressed when before her. Whether you desire the blood of others or to ravage a close companion, it will come full force when you enter her domain.

Happy is hardly the word to describe the jubilant Joy. Always with a smile on her face and laughter on her lips, Joy is a literal embodiment of her namesake. Playful, cheery, and bubbly, Joy is easily the " the little sister" among the Avatars. Easy to get along with, Joy loves making new friends, and goes out of her way to befriend those she awakens. Recent events have tainted the jubilant Joy, however, leaving her with Dissociative identity disorder. When her other personality takes control, Joy gains dominion over ice. There are 'ticks' that trigger the switch in personalities, though they are currently unknown.
