Setting: Valentine and Rubic encounter each other on a stone bridge, neither are friendly and both need to get to the other side.

Valentine had been walking for quite some time, his feet were slightly blistered from the rocky climb but he had eventually made it to the top, his blank stare pierced the distance as he caught sight of his first other human, Rubic. The gap between then was a sure death if one were to fall, the bridge narrowing to a skinny four feet at the very center of the bridge a slight layer of sand coated the area making tripping a constant hazard.

Valentine coughed slightly, his clothing was rough and torn around the knees and elbows, his brown hair glistened in the moonlight as it slipped and stretched down in front of one of his eyes. Valentine stood to make sure he was completely in view before walking forward, leaning down and picking up a hand sized rock as he continued forward cation was never his strong suit. "You friend come." Valentine sputters, even with the apple allowing him to communicate he was never taught any language so his speech was still slightly garbled.

The howl of wind sounds down underneath them however it doesn't blow by them, up on the bridge was completely void of any harsh climate, the only thought that could be accepted was getting to the other side, and there would be only one continuing on after.

Rubic looked at the bridge nervously. Whoever designed this thing was retarded... Rubic didn't like it, but he needed to get across the deathtrap. He then saw the man on the other side of the bridge. He didn't look friendly and he doubt he would let him across without some conflict. "Fucking hell..." Rubic curses.

A pistol appeared in Rubic's right hand and a pair of running shoes appeared on his formerly bare feet. The soles of the shoes appeared to be treated with a substance that greatly increased traction. Nice! Haven't gotten something this good in a while!" Rubic readied the gun aimed at Valentine's head firing when he had a clear shot. He immediately took a step back and kept the gun aimed.

As soon as the pistol came into view Valentine dropped to the floor, by the time he pulled the trigger there was no one in his iron sights. A slight lean back as hurled the rock as hard as he can towards Rubic aiming directly for his chest so it will most likely hit however he did not expect that to be the end of Rubic.

A deep breath as he watches the rock fly, about half way in flying he stood up entering a sprint. planning to be much to close for the pistol to be effective allowing him to wrestle him down with his bare hands, The pistol made Valentine hungry for his life, not willing to be taken down by a mere fool who shouts out his talent, while Valentine was blunt and often careless his mind entered a state of dulled awareness everything around him becoming blurs, his only sight was on Rubic and his next move.

Rubic saw Valentine dive down to avoid the bullet. He obviously knew what guns were and was clearly not just an average person. "Damnit..." The pistol in his hand disappeared to be replaced with a huge metal kite shield attached to his arm. Rubic immediately brought it up to block the rock which bounced off the shield with a ping. He then put down the shield, kneeled down, grabbed a handful of sand and threw it Valentine as he sprinted. He then brought the shield back up.

Valentine saw the sand spurt up but it was much too late for him to stop his run, closing his eyes to prevent damage he barreled his form through planning to run his shoulder straight into the metal kite shield. The impact would definitely fracture his left shoulder and would cause both of them to feel immense pain, if successful Valentine would combat roll in a leftward angle over his fractured shoulder making it almost unusable, but putting them facing each other, the bridge behind them both He would then bring his dominant right hand in front of his nose in the shape of a fist.

Rubic dropped to the floor with the shield laying sidewise across the path. With any luck the sprinting and half blind Valentine would trip and fall off the bridge.

The shield's pointed side caught Valentine's ankle ripping into his flesh as he flings over Rubic, the pain shoots through both of their legs as Valentine lands on his side skidding painfully against the stone laced with sand scratching his entire right side of his body. He only paused for a moment kicking his legs to get himself to his feet his vision was blurred and confused but he crouched down in a defensive position clawing a handful of dirt waiting for Rubic's move, a mere five or so feet away from him.

The shield disappeared from Rubic's hand as increadible pain ran through his leg. He grabbed another handfull of sand and tosses straight behind him at Valentine without looking. He scrabbled forward akwardly and spun around in a sitting position, now facing the new dust cloud. Rubic's hand brushed against a nearby palm sized rock which he picked up and got ready to throw.

Valentine sighed annoyed at the sand cloud, waiting patiently for it to drift away in the sand before standing up, walking towards him in a threatening manner, he tilted his head to the side, his multicolored eyes opened and stared directly into Rubic's Valentine growls "There is nothing you can do to me." his voice dark attempting to terrifying him as he steps closer, his body tense ready to move.

Rubic was surprised Valentine could still move so easily. He had no idea why his own side was hurting but he assumed it was due to his ability somehow.

Rubic threw the rock at Valentine's chest in a slight panic as he approached him. An automatic shotgun appeared in his hand almost immediately after he threw it. Taking only half a second to register its appearence, he quickly aimed at Valentine's abdomen and fired in attempt to finish off the lunatic. The force drove him back a bit but fortunately he went straight backward and not sideways off the cliff.

Valentine's face opened up a twisted grin as he lifted up his right arm to block the stone. The rock flew but instead of just stopping it with his palm he turned his arm allowing it to make dead contact with his boney wrist, the sound it colliding made him twitch but the pain shot through both of them as he lunged forward hoping that the pain spike through their wrist would distract him enough to allow him to get on top of him and close his hands together allowing him to bash his head disorienting him eventually leading to his doom.

Valentine's hands connected slamming into Rubic's face smashing the back of his head into the floor causing him to fall unconscious, as soon as this happened Valentine grabbed onto his shoulders and began fiercely shaking him grinding his head repeatedly into the stone floor causing a larger and larger blood stain until it was free flowing from his cranium, a mush of his brain and blood poured out with chips of his skull. A single tear fell from his eyes as he suddenly focused. Valentine dipped one of his fingers into the sandy blood mixture licking it from his finger tip staining the front of his teeth, the crazed look in his eyes replaced with sadness. A shove sent the body rolling off the bridge with a sickening crunch as it tumbled down the rocky fall. Valentine was victorious, planting his hand into the blood he wiped it on his face with a slight gasp of satisfaction, He stood and stumbled away from the scene.
