The madness

Sparrow quickly broke free from Shiro's grip, he had honestly grown tired of all the struggle and realized that this was indeed a kill or be killed situation. He jumped to and then charged at Shiro upper cutting him with a metal fist. He followed up with several swinging fist afterwards, he figured that Shiro was not too much of a hand to hand fighter, so he got in close and began to do work against him. He formed spikes on his hands in order to rip through the protective bandages and managed to cut all of his allies and Finn free while punching away at Shiro.

"Of course I want to die! Just leave me!" He yelled at Renae as if it was obvious. Finn screamed in horror when he realized he was being mummified, when the bandages wraped around his mouth he couldn't breathe, and he tried desperately to get away. He was about to pass out from lack of oxygen when Sparrow cut them away, he breathed in deeply, wondering why he struggled when he didn't want to live anyways. "Please...leave me." He begged.

Renae rushed to Finn's side in order to protect him, "You don't want to die... you want to live right!" She spoke strongly almost as if her opinion on life could possibly be projected on to him. "Living is the greatest thing that could happen to you... if you give up life you give up everything else... on top of that... would you really want to be killed after being used by someone who doesn't care about you" As she protected him, Kairo jumped up from the shadows to protect her providing a double layer of protection as Sparrow fought off Shiro.

Shiro was being pummeled away at each blow he felt himself getting weaker and weaker, and sadly he found himself unable to harm the metal skin that had protected sparrow. He was completely powerless against him as he was knocked around. As he felt the layers of his protection slowly drift away he then forced Lust to open a portal to the avatar realm. Shiro vanished leaving the three of them to pick themselves up.

As Sparrow had successfully fought off Shiro he quickly turned around, unsheathing himself from his metal skin and angrily stormed towards Finn. He picked him up by the hair grabbing a fist full of it and nailed him with a solid right hook. "Do you want to live or die... depending on how you answer will determine what I do to you next!" Sparrow was very emotional when it came to life or death, situations such as these were the few times where he would wear his goals and feelings clear on his chest. "Life is what makes you... who you are... if you want to die... then you don't want to really die you just need someone to help you" He offered his hand to Finn with a slight grin on his face, trying to seem more approachable, something he wasn’t all too good at.

Finn tried to ignore Renae, he wanted to die…right? Wasn't that why he was here? Because he had made the decision to swallow those pills? But in the end, he regretted it, didn't he? Would it be the same, if he tried to do it again he would realize the mistake but have no way of going back? He didn't even realize a fight between Shiro and Sparrow was happening, finn was forced from his thoughts when Sparrow hit him, he held his cheek in pain, looking at Sparrow for an explanation. He looked at the hand that was offered to him, if he took it, would things be different? Could he live without regrets? He reached for the hand but hesitated, he looked from Sparrow to Renae before finally talking it, hoping he had made the right decision.

Renae let out a sigh of relief when Shiro had left but knew that they might not have seen the last of him. The thought of being filled with such filthy thoughts again or even worse kind of scared her because of her inability to control herself. Kairo came beside her and rubbed his head against the top of hers to comfort her and purred a bit.

Sparrow started to shout at Finn about his choice of life or death. Renae placed a single hand on his shoulder to calm him. "Sparrow, calm down. I guess in the end it is his decision. Just remember that if you were actually meant to be dead then you probably wouldn't have ended up in this place in the first place." Renae was happy to see that Finn had seen their side of things and was willing to take their hand. She wasn't sure how long he would be alive here but she knew that today was not the day he would die.

Renae cleared her throat after the slightly brutal, yet touching moment. "Finn you have something that we need. I seem to distinctly remember you picking up a piece of crystal before we joined you and Shiro. We need that back and it is best if you don't touch it with you bare hands..." Renae was hesitant to continue an explanation. She first thought that it would be best not to get others too involved unless absolutely necessary. She cocked her head at Sparrow, egging him to perhaps be more convincing.

As Renae attempted to calm him down, he was only made more frustrated with Finn the longer it took him to take his hand. He had the mindset that people like him are what made things like his death and Renae's death possible. He had didn't want to calm down, but he also did not want to manage to upset Renae. When she spoke to him of the jewel, Sparrow nodded in an aggressive way taking his hand back since it took him so long to take his hand, he had been convinced that Finn was pansy, and anyone that didn't chase after a second chance at life was a waste of the first one. He quite frankly wanted nothing to do with him. Since he insisted on giving up on life, and no one needed dead weight, dragging them down. "Give us the Jewel and we will just leave you to die or what ever" He crossed his arm portraying that distant attitude that he was so fond of. Turning his back towards Finn, quite frankly upset with him in his own way.

"That green rock?" Finn asked, "I think I dropped it somewhere..." H crossed his arms and looked over to the area where Shiro's had assaulted him and he had dropped it. "Why?" He hadn't failed to notice that Sparrow wasn't very happy with him, but he didn't blame him, he wasn't a very like able person.

Renae looked over to the area that Finn motioned to. She quickly sent Kairo over in that direction to search for it. "It's honestly better the less you knew about it." She didn't want anyone to come along asking him for any information about it. Renae too was getting frustrated with Finn and his depressing emotions. There was no reason for him to want to die. There was no trigger of any sort as far as she could tell so the fact that he wanted to simply die for what seems to be no reason, did not compute with her.

Kairo started to paw at the ground in search for the jewel. He sniffed the around the area and could smell basically all of what had happened but moments ago. He indeed did find the shard and picked it up carefully with his teeth. He wanted to touch it as little as possible. He hurried back over to Renae. She had a small pouch with her that she opened for Kairo to place the jewel in.

Renae closed the pouch and gave it to Sparrow for safe keeping. She pulled Sparrow to the side and whispered to him,"Sparrow, I think we should take him with us..It seems that he wouldn't last two days without us." She glanced over to Finn with a concerned look. She felt sorry for him.

Without really waiting for Sparrow's opinion, Renae brought it upon herself to say something. "Ok Finn. To shed a bit of light on things...This shard is a piece of a huge jewel. One that is said to bring balance. The shards if held for too long or if you have too much direct contact, can drive you insane with power. We need to collect them and put them back together...well at least I think that is what needs to be done..." Renae was actually not 100% sure what they were doing...She just knew they had to collect them all. "Come with us. Help us. You can join us and we can help keep each other safe."

Sparrow scoffed at the thought, but deep down he knew he couldn't live the poor guy all on his own, and things were clearly better in numbers. "That would be fine with me" He said in a monotone voice, trying to make sure his feelings and thoughts were all kept to himself.

It was decided that they would indeed travel together almost against Finn's will.
