Attack on Life[Event]

The sun was slowly rising as a scream could be heard in the distance. It was more than any normal screen as it woke all of the creatures of the land in that instant. The birds flocked away in panic as trees vanished in the distance, as if swallowed by a black hole. The wall of Haven stood strong against the animals that had attempted to bum rush it out of fear, and those who were fortunate to get away simply flew above the wall or dug under the village. Dust filled the air as giant footsteps smashed against the ground, as a another scream echoed through the air followed by a series of earthquakes, that had backed by a gust of wind with enough concussive force to send animals flying against the wall that protected Haven, killing them in the process.

The threat to Haven was still far from the village, as once bipedal feet, now were quadruped. What was once of sound mind was now desperate, as her screams traveled into the air over and over, more and more thing vanished along her path. The only words that could be heard throughout the screams were someone whispering. "Hungry... Hungry..." A hand revealed itself grabbing a hold of a small bear, the hand was bony, and lacked all signs of nutrition. It had pale white skin, that was cut and bruised a long time ago, but sadly there was no blood, only puss and infection remained.

Razor sharp teeth emitted a glow in the shadows of the trees as drool dripped to the ground from her mouth. Bits and pieces of human limbs mixed with animal heads, trees, and dirt all fell to the ground with it. A smell in the air caused her to lift her disembodied nose into the air. "Hungry! Hungry!" Several hands reached forward and grabbed the ground, pulling her body forward as her knees dragged across the ground. She left behind a trail of blood and saliva as she moved.

A single hand came out of the forest stretching forward and soon afterwards the disfigured body of greed came emerging from wood line as her hand grazed the wall. She was far more disfigured, her once proud and gallant mask was now gone, and her body had look extremely deprived of food and sanitation. As the hand grabbed a hold of the wall, it began to claw at it as Greed's screams echoed throughout the entire village.

"Hunger Hunger...." Life had been hidden in the village; he was in good standing, with the villagers under a false name, and a false illusion, upon hearing Greed he instantly called for his Champions. After doing so he came out of hiding in an attempt to blend in better and help the villagers in their preparations. He had appeared as a young boy, his mind was void of true thought using his empowerment to protect the villagers from falling debris from the sky.

His first order of business was to see for sure which of the Avatars was attacking Haven, and to see if he had been found or if this was some other attempt on his life.

The sound could only be described as startling at first, even though people looked towards the sound no one batted and eye, all being much to adjusted to loud sounds to even truly care, that was until the words broke through. Everyone in Haven survived an awakening of Greed which was on its own a feat, the voice sent fear like a tidal wave over the village, not a single person able to push the voice from them. Arrow was outside looking in, keeping plenty of distance and definitely not going to be the first line of defense for Greed's rampage.

Chief was approached by panicked faces, many being a pale white,  none of them wanting to face the beast again as it approached, Chief waved them off calmly trying to portray some sort of leader but it was hard to respect someone that was visibly shaking in fear. His tent was rebuilt after the encounter with Oz prior, they had no knowledge of what state Greed was in or why she has come but they knew many of them were not going to make it out alive. "Quickly, get the women and children across the river, we will stall them." Chief manages to boom from his lips gathering his spear along with a few other men but many of them dove into the river attempting to swim across by hand being swept up by the current. Guro had crafted himself a new hammer since then and even in the face of danger he seemed calm, he stood by Chief acting more of an example than Chief could, he directed all of his men eyes to the example of how they should act bracing for Greed's assault.

The wall that surrounded Haven was shoddy at best, it was more of a reminder that there was things outside that were willing to kill them than protection itself, the hands themselves would turn the wall to nothing more than debris is a matter of moments, the sticks and twigs not able to even stand to the hunger of greed, but at this point none of them had time to prepare, no one was able to find any escape from the village the walls acting more of a prison for Greed's charge, four men not including Guro and Chief stood staring at the wall in anticipation fully expecting to die that day hoping that their sacrifice would save some people in the village, all acting as a whole to form some way across the river and out of Greed's clutches..

As Misaki and Kayla arrived to Haven, they stood together in hopes of finding Life. She still was unsure why they had to fight the avatars in the first place, however, Misaki was glad she found purpose in this world. The city was filled with people who were living and thriving. It has been a while since she had seen something like this. The two of them stayed together in hopes that their combined abilities would lead them to the one they searched for. However, just moments after their arrival, loud sounds could be heard from not so far away.

Loud crashing sounds of roaring and words that could hardly be understood were rattling through the city. All of the villagers were racing around and trying to escape. Misaki wasn't sure exactly what was going on but she knew that the villagers probably had the right idea. Everyone was trampling over everyone else, children crying, women screaming, and men shouting out instructions, all of these sounds echoed the area as what seemed to be Greed heading straight for them.

Misaki looked over to Kayla, "What should we do? We could easily leave and not be bothered with this or we could fight Greed and find Life and essentially kill them both." Misaki honestly wasn't opposed to either idea. Dust and dirt flew around the two who seemed to be not as phased as everyone else. Their training prepared them for situations such as this. That and the trust Misaki had in Kayla, she knew nothing could go too terribly wrong.

Chief froze solid, his terror taking over his ability to lead, showing him to be the charlatan that he truly was. He could only stare as Greed began devouring fleeing villagers. A voice rose over the others, the solid booming voice of Guro echoed around the encampment, "You three, defend from the clones, me and Chief will deal with Greed." His voice was filled with a brimming confidence that they could take the Avatar even though it was obviously false. "Chief, distract her." he muttered low as he stepped backwards leaving Chief in a sudden alone fight with Greed.

He stabbed the blunt end of his spear into the dirt allowing it to hold steady even against heavy attacks, "Greed!" Chief shouts, his voice renewed with a shaky confidence passed onto him by Guro. Chief tried to use his ability, not even sure if it would actually work on Greed however the idea was to force her to focus on him, expecting Guro to come with some sort of plan.

Unfortunately that would not be the case, Guro stepped back and blasted one of the clones with his three days stored shock wave and began retreating with everyone else, leaving Chief unknowingly alone to be a noble sacrifice for a chance to save many of their lives, Guro when he was far enough away even turned to say "Chief told us to go on without him, he will stall her." as he begun motioning people into the river before himself.

Misaki nodded at Kayla. She immediately started to run towards Greed as bits and pieces of human body parts were being thrown around and eaten. This slightly worried Misaki, but it didn't scare her away from her task at hand.

Only about fifty feet were between Misaki and Greed. Misaki put up and giant wall of fire that would at least temporarily separate the avatar from the rest of the citizens. She ran through the flames unharmed and stared to swiftly and quietly circle around Greed. She managed to get behind Greed and started to climb the wall. Misaki got to the top of the wall to take a better look at Greed.

Misaki encircled the rest of Greed with fire as well. One thing that she noticed that instead of walking upright as one normally would, she more so moved herself on her belly with her arms and legs. The poor beast had grown so obese that she couldn't hold herself up properly. Misaki had a quick idea of how to beat her and shouted out to Kayla who wasn't too far away, "She is too fat and slow to compare to our speed, we have to use that to our advantage."

The sudden rocks falling from the sky only added to chaos, however most of the villagers were away from the town, only a select few were now in consuming distance many dying in the process of crossing the dangerous river. Healer was on the other side of the river trying to save the few that were not completely consumed however many merely died of shock, a pile of corpses merely laying around as they tend to survivors from a far distance, Guro had already disappeared into the trees with no intention of returning.

Chief's ears popped at the crashing sound his face was blank when Greed picked him up, the spear falling from his hands completely given up at this moment, but as he stares at the monster before him, a sudden desperate rage fills his system. "Life?" He tried to come up with a plan but he couldn't focus being recently picked up his head was spinning his eyesight blurred. "Over there!" He merely said pointing at the first thing that came into his view, His ability would cause her to look and he would desperately claw at the hand that held him hostage, Greed would merely see a line of trees, a faint glitter merely the aftermath of his ability collection attention.

Reid followed after Reeve, morphing into a raven and circling him, the reason he came may have been to help Life, but his true goal was to protect Reeve, no matter what. The scene that lay before them was not a pretty one, but more of a nightmare. After seeing everything that was going on he immediately flew in front of Reeve and changed back into a human, landing on the ground and stopping him from going any farther. "Reeve." He put his hands on his friends shoulders to keep his attention. "Stay back, you can command the animals from a distance, right? So don't come too close." If he could he would have made Reeve stay far far away with no chance of him getting involved at all, and he hated to admit it but he would need the help. "Promise me." He said, looking into the others eyes.

Misaki began to go to work as she tightened her kimono, and the air around her became surrounded by fireballs. "Let’s just hit..." She smirked as she sent out a flurry of fireballs non-stop aiming directly for her face, which indeed distracted her which allowed Maria to come down on her with that massive explosion.

Seeing Maria she instantly knew that she had gotten the Halo from life and turned her attention towards her for a moment. "Champion of Life... we need to have a word with you once Greed is dead and we take her Avatar weapon!" Misaki then performed several backflips before landing. A safe distance away from the small greed version and burnt them alive where they stood. Her eyes then followed to her partner Kayla and she set those small versions of greed on fire as well, burning them to a crisp.

She did this flawlessly not causing any collateral damage in the process. "I am going to hunt the remaining miniature versions and attempt to find life... I know for a fact the avatar is somewhere around here now!" She then boosted herself into the air with a flame jump and then began to travel around the area as fast as she could in hopes of finding Life.

With a combination of his ability distracting Greed and the collision of the small mountain onto her head Chief managed to spiral out of her grasp colliding onto the floor, with a roll he grabbed his spear and begun to bolt, people were here to strike down the beast, he needed to get to his people. he desperately clawed to his feet using his spear as a cane for him to hobble over to the rivers edge. "Don't worry, all will turn out fine!" He shouts to his people using what little of his energy he had left to make sure they heard them, sending bits of confidence to the people not only swimming through the fast paced river but also already on the other side. Chief looked at the river, the flow was much too quick for his tired body so he turned around to watch his kingdom be destroyed a defeated look on his face as he sits with his spear, every time one of the smaller Greed's catch his sight they immediately get distracted and charge at something else.

Kayla nods as Misaki burns the greeds hoarding around her which she'd grateful for; she's weary about using the miracle gifted to her for a few reasons, for one thing it can be overwhelming to take on a physical manifestation of something else, it wouldn't work on Avatars just other humans and objects around her and secondly she had no idea how useful such an ability would be right now so he confused on fighting the old fashioned way s she avoided Greeds slow movements.

Greed had been dumb enough to actually look to where Chief had pointed but had grown pissed off when he realized he was simply trying to by himself some time, as she was about to devour him. The mountain had fallen on Greed, the avatar had no way of seeing it coming and the damage it had done to her made her cry out in pain, sadly for her she still found herself hungry beyond reason. 
As the animals that were commanded by Reeve made there stand greed did not hesitate for a moment smacking them to death or crushed them with her massive hands and remaining body, she would occasionally eat some of them, but she was more so making her way to the river to end what she had started, by allowing the peope of haven to live, to her they were nothing but food she had stored for later.

As Misaki fired flames at her she couldn't help but be blinded, and the burning of her skin had successfully sealed her eyes shut she roared again as she started to just bit down on anything she could physically touch. She used her free hand to slice open her eyelids so that she could see and in a bloodied stare she locked eyes Maria seeing her above a single rooftop wearing life's Halo. Maria had been distracted from by Misaki as she asked her of Life's where abouts and this gave Greed to oppurtunity to grab her, in a panic to get away, Maria teleported both greed and herself higher up on the mountain, and then even higher into the air. The Avatar and Maria both began to fall from deathly hights. 

Life had been sitting and watching in the shadows ready to leave on a moments notice in case things had gone wrong for some reason. He would take his halo back of course and dissapear once more. Though he found himself pleased with Maria's growth and then seeing Reid and Reeve had arrived he had decided that now was an okay time for her to return to them, that is until another portal opened behind him, and the world around him went dark. He looked behind himself to see what came through the portal but saw nothing, it wasnt until he heard a whisper in his ear that a small sickle had gone through the side of his neck and Fear slipped into his body. Gash would then emerge from the portal, and the two would look up as greeds body plummeted to the ground with a death clutch onto Maria, as greed had her body stabbed into by a chunk of rock leftover from the mountain's debris. It went through her skull, killing her instantly.

Gash came in with a grin, the purple mask covering his face could not hide his feelings of satisfaction as he clutches onto a very recent bone dagger, shaved to a point against the rocks of the mountain. "Greed dearest, would you mind coming over to me and maiming yourself?" He said satirically, what was left of Greed would attempt to claw towards Gash, in the process swiping at any living thing, now not being commanded by hunger but by Gash's voice. A shockwave sounded off in the distance and screams could be heard from across the river, the bodies that drowned were suddenly rising and attacking any who were close, even his loyal servant Guro was suddenly swarmed by the recently awakened ghouls.

"It appears my friends have found the rest of the village, all that is left is dealing with these fools." Gash chuckles as a shadow waves over head, a bird lands standing six feet, the only flesh remaining on its body was its wings and tail, rot still plagued its bones as it opens it mouth unable to actually make sound in its attempt to hiss. "Bodies rot so quickly after death." He states as he pokes some of the bones of the cockatrice. "I remember when it attacked me." He says silently to himself as he glances at the crowd, down the mountain a variety of different undead creatures were coming to rampage over them, but it would take time. "Bird, go defend Greed, make sure it makes it to us." The skeletal creature nodded dashing forward, its physical attacks still maintaining its ability to turn creatures to stone, this was immediately prevalent with its slash on a nearby animal.

Reeve was surprised at Reid's words, but considering the conversation they'd talked about previously the others over protectiveness made sense, he wanted to protest because he could fight too! He didn't just have to rely on nature to do the fighting for him "Ried..." He sighed at that, he didn't like the ides of Reid being down there alone, the village was in utter chaos right now, and Gash had even shown up making this situation even more dangerous and chaotic.

He nodded at that, slipping off the large wolf he hugged the other tightly "Stay safe alright?" He said before he pulled away and turned to the large wolf he;d been riding on and whispered something into its large fuzzy ear before it let out a howl that rang out throughout the forest "Go I'll remain back here" He said as he patted the large wolf and gave his friend a smile "If we make it out of here alive, we'll need a serious break" He said with a faint smile.

The large wolf Reeve had been riding nudged Reid with its large nose gently indicating the other to lead the way; Reeve had told the animals to go with Reid and protect him as well as any other humans down there.

Kayla nodded to Misaka as she spotted Maria, whom was almost exactly as Courage described her during their briefing "Go! I'll hold the others off!" He said with Greed partially blind it made things a bit easier, when he saw Greed get crushed under mountion of rock and Maria almost along with her she shuddered and knew even with Greed semi-defeated it wasn't over, she looked around what was left of the humans and animals and spotted Gash and it made a shiver go right down her spine at the sight of him; she didn't know who he was but she could tell he was dangerous.

Reid nodded, glad that Reeve didn't argue with him, because he wouldn't have taken no for an answer anyways. He morphed into a raven again and lead the way into the village. He saw all the chaos, Greed running towards Gash, undead popping up everywhere. He didn't see Life anywhere, so he decided to fly to Gash. Was he the enemy, or Greed? And why was Gash fighting Greed in the first place? It didn't seem like Gash had realized he was a human, mostly because he blended in with the other animals, but he had no clue of who to attack, so he circled the area, waiting for some kind of sign.

Maria had fallen with Greed but as the reanimated corpse of Greed began to move Maria's body fell out of her hand and rolled down the mountain. The Halo was still on her head but the wings she had gained vanished. She was covered in nicks and scratches, and her skin was very pale. One from a distance would assume she was dead, but upon closer inspection she had life in her, she wasnt moving but she was indeed breathing.

Misaki had arrived just in time to witness Fear inhabit Life itself, without his Halo he was powerless to do anything against Fear who had slipped into his body, apparently this had been the moment Fear and Gash has been waiting for. She took a defensive stance, and blocked there path, prepared to do what she was trained to do, but not before letting out a whistle to alert Kayla to her current location. After she whistled there were no words, no witty comments. Only Fire....

The ground beneath them lit up in flames, as fireballs rained down for the sky zoned in on the Avatar of Life's body. "This should be easy... two birds with one stone!" She then fired several small fireballs from both her hands, unleashing a non stop barrage of fire onto the Avatar, at point blank range. A majority of the area was without a doubt pretty destroyed as smoke clouds appeared in the sky from all of the burning rock.

Fear who now resided inside of Life simply allowed Life's body to take the damage, but used his own omnipotence to rapidly heal the wounds. The Avatar stood among the blast not flinching as Life could not feel pain himself numbed by his own Fears... lost in the void of his mind. Fear now inside of Life's body then used his abilities to do the same to Misaki sending waves of her nightmares into the poor girls mind.

A ghoul stepped forward to be obliterated by any stray fireballs however stopping any advance on Gash. he grinned as Greed made it over to him, he stared at the pathetic corpse as it begun ripping at its chest shredding herself to the command prior. "Yes Greed, give me your weapon." he motioned as Greed slowly tore away from herself to find the jewel deep in her body.

"Oh, you brought her, thank you." Gash smiled as the bird he usually rode on swooped from the sky holding a rather bloodied woman in its talons, dropping her from a six foot hight causing her to skid across the floor. The woman's gruff nature as she was dropped was almost completely deteriorated replaced by a veil of fear. The people of the village would recognize this woman as Healer, her ability was rather simple and served Gash a much greater use than most of the living creatures that she touched. "Healer, if you would be so kind." He mutters to her but she growls in response from her pained state sprawled on the ground, refusing to use her ability on Greed's corpse like she has on so many other corpses prior.

Chief sat there for some time, Gash revealing himself, Fear attacking Life, none of this really phased him until heard the people screaming from across the river, the desperate shockwaves of Guro fighting off the undead slowly advancing. "N-No.." He said to himself using his spear to brace himself to his shaky feet. "Gash.." he said quietly to himself as he begun his walk towards the figure, the rage in is eyes was indescribable as his whole body quaked, his thoughts a blanket of red. "Gash!" he shouted as his adrenaline spiked through, dropping the spear head to point forward as he charged, his scream rising from the back of his throat as he dashes forward with a last desperate surge
