Kayla is able to gain the physical aspects of everything around her including plant, animal and human life, this includes blending into her environment like a chameleon, picking up traits of other animals and sometimes picking up physical traits of other humans.

History:

Kayla was born on earth amidst a large military city, her father was a spacer and a solider, her mother, she never recalled ever meeting, and presumed she had died just after she was born though her father never confirmed or denied this. when she was 6 or so her father left her on earth with a neighbour and headed off into space to defend from an alien attack, and was killed in battle.

Not long after that she was sent to an orphanage where she became lost and withdrawn and would spend her time reading on subjects, especially machines; it was here she found everything she read or even experienced she could remember with perfect clarity; she had a photographic memory which was just as much of a gift as it was a curse. It was this talent of hers that prompted the government to scoop her up from the orphanage and place her into an experimental program to make a line of super soldiers, she never really understood why they wanted to do all the tests on her, all she cared about was that she had a home and the scientists were her new family.

Dr Sheon, head scientist treated her much like she was one of his own, an middle man of oriental heritage with trimmed grey hair and dark eyes was kind to her even though she was being tested on, he would always give her sweets when they gave her injections or comforted her after she had to go through testing that was especially painful he introduced her to his eight year old son at the time Zeke and the two, what with being two children on board the space ship at a similar age, soon became fast friends.

There were others on board for the government experiments, though Kayla was the youngest at age seven, the second youngest after her was ten the others were of varying ages upward to around fifteen, and though they did participate in tests on occasion they were kept mostly separate.

Staring from age nine or so they began to alter her body, altering her height and weight, enhancing her speed, strength, reflexes, as well as adapting her mental abilities to be able to sense impending danger and sense other psychics around her though sensing such things do have the tenancy to give her a painful headache while the presence is still in the area. Some of the exterminates did have side effects, turning her original brown hair a pure white and her eyes turning from blue to a reddish-purple, they also altered her height and weight making sure that she remained at the small stature of 5 foot 3, the perfect hight for a pilot in a cramped mech.

Out side of the experimentations she would study information on current categories as well on subjects about Military sciences, law, and protocol, and was trained strictly in a militarized fashion with drill sargents and training instructors educating her as she grew up training her in unarmed combat and in ranged weapons, the only real break from her long hours of training, was when she and Zeke would play together.

As the two grew up they would spend time talking, playing or hanging out in the ships hanger bay, the two remained very close and they were always seen together, Kayla had proven herself more than adept with machines where as Zeke was more into bio-sciences like his father.

By age 22 they deemed her training to be almost finished. While not actively fighting on the field she had given her insight to several secret government meetings as her ability to form tactics was well respected within the ship and they gave her the rank of 2nd lieutenant for her advice which saved lives out on the feild.

Zeke at 23 graduated with a master in bio-sciences and chemistry and the two of them attended a grand party in his honour; while the two of them had always been close and there had always been a spark of impending romance between them, Kayla had no experience in romance and she always kept him at arms length more due to her own nerves and her own fear of ruining their friendship, and Zeke being equally as awkward respected her boundaries, and its something Kayla regrets to this day.

Not long after this event, they continued her experiments enhancing her body as well as her mind giving her some extensive psychic abilities, though it was never complete she turned 24 and they put her in cryo-sleep to pass a dangerous asteroid field claiming that when she woke up her final experiments would be implemented upon her and she'd be one of the last of a line of super soldiers.

She never survived the trip however, as an incident cause the ship to explode and her cryo-pod crashed landed on earth and she died along with many of the crew.
