Three days

Reid pushed away Reeves hand, not that he didn't want to hold his hand or anything but because he wanted to protect him. He stepped forward and morphed into a chimera, ready to fight and waiting for the man with the hammer to make the first move.

Key could hear the word "sacrifice" from this cloaked figure. Hearing the sounds of the movement from the animals appearing nearby. And once again as the people of Haven began to step back motioning for the three of the outsiders Key felt as though these people of Haven were helpless. As he saw this one male turn into a weird creature he became unsure of what to do. The only reasoning he had now was to protect them, most of his past life made him want to do so.. And now with the same occurrence of these zombie, Key really did not want to see the same thing happen as it once did. He turned to this male Reeve, and his eyes were set to serious and hints of regret.

Key spoke quietly enough for him to hear his words, but still his words expressed a strong sign of leadership. "Please.. Take your friend and leave, quickly." He did not give the two a chance to question but stepped forward towards this towering man. He would not regret doing it but he sensed his heart rate moving rapidly, and his breath once again deepens. He tried his best to stand tall even if his body reactions failed this image.

Reeve paused unsure of what to do, on one hand running was the best option if they were to live, but running would only get them so far, on the other he didn't want the Key to get hurt because of them either, but it seemed the other had made up his mind and arguing about it would do them no good "Be careful" He said softly to Key, before he looked to Reid who was snarling at Gash and walked over to the other "Let me ride you" He said to his friend softly before clambering on the chimera's back "Run like the wind"

Reid was reluctant to just run and let Kioshi do all the fighting for me, but his number one priority was Reeve, so he turned around and dashed off into he forest. He hoped Reeve was holding o tightly or else he would fall off.

Gash merely laughed as he watched Keys stepped forward in a futile plan to sacrifice himself for the others. "There is no running Reid and Reeve, there is only delays." His laugh became almost hysterical as he motioned his hands, two huge shadows flew over the town obviously hunting for Reid and Reeve, completely ignoring Keys. Guro stepped forward to end Keys but ghouls were already on him first, Guro stepped away to Gash as four human corpses approached him, two of them missing an arm but the others were in very good condition lunging towards him with grasping hands and mouths open agape, one having a very similar carving to the creature that first attacked, its mouth opening much larger than a normal human.

Reeve hugged into the others fur and kept his head low as he closed his eyes and tired to block out the images of the undead he'd just witnessed; He reached out to the animals in the forest and used the birds as his spys as he hears the bird calls being passed back and forth and he was informed they were being hunted and their pursuers weren't that far behind, cupping his hands to his mouth he let out several different animal calls from birds to beasts /Shake off those who follow us and hide our tracks! They can;t be allowed to find us/ He called to the Animals before he focused his attention on Ried again and hoped the animals causing a ruckus would be enough of a distraction, though he hoped the animals wouldn't get too hurt in the process "We have to find shelter Reeve, a cave of some sort, see if you can find one while we have time" He said to his friend

As these zombies began to approach Key he began to freak out. He expected this would be a bad choice on his part, but he was not completely ready to die. Not sure on how to approach so many of these all he did was attempt to move away from them, until he noticed some of the others were not as slow. Unfortunately he became aware too late and Key had been grabbed by a few of them. One of the ghouls bit his arm as Key was beginning to lose himself within the crowd of them.

Dreading this outcome as quickly as it happened he could begin to feel the weight on his mind and body as his levels of anxiety and adrenaline rose. In that instant the movement around him stopped. Key jumped back to see that everything around him had stopped in movement. Feeling the jab of pain from his arm that had been bitten placed Key back into a stable mind frame. He needed to do some thing, looking around he saw a villager with a small odd made dagger. Moving around the zombies he quickly took the weapon from the villagers side and began to run at this figure that seemed to be in charge. But as he approached the cloaked individual and raised his hands with the dagger ready to plunge the tip into their chest, the time seemed to begin moving again and the only reaction Key could give was his eyes widening and one small statement. "Shit."

Reid listened to Reeve's command and began to run faster, looking around for an area that would be suitable. He saw a small den in the bottom of a tree, it looked like some foxes had lived there previously but it was empty now. We slowed down and waited for Reeve to get off of him, motioning to the small cavern.

Reid was planning to protect Reeve, but for the months that they survived in the forest he seemed to have plenty of protectors. It was fairly easy, they had plenty of resources and used everything to their advantage. He had gotten a bow and practiced with it a bit but wasn't yet the best with his aim. things were peaceful, and for the most part, they were happy. However, the more time he spent with Reeve the harder Reid fell for him. Every day he got more and more nervous that he would lose him, and that honestly scared the shit out of him. If he had to he would gladly give his life for Reeve.

Even Gash was surprised to Key's sudden movement, the dagger sliced through his cloak clawing deep into his chest causing a howl of pain however he backed away just far enough to make it a nonlethal attack. "KILL HIM." Gash shouts as Guro turns with his hammer, bringing it down out of view onto Key's head, the cracking sound of his stone weapon impacting keys head was a clear indication that his life was no more. Gash sighed heavily, not used to being that close to his own death. "You, Chief." He growled "Bring me someone to fix this wound." and almost immediately Healer was there to nurse him, with this realization she could also reform bodies that were not too maimed such as Key's corpse, soon after Healers touch he looked completely lifelike, some of the color even returning to his flesh.

"You will be of great use." Gash chuckles darkly as he shouts towards the group, undead and all. "I want you all to remember my name, and the one who has spared you this day." With a wave of his hand the slow moving ghouls chased after Reeve and Reid, "Gash." He turns at this point, stalking across the lake and back to his steed in the shadows, soaring back to the complex of caves on the mountain.

Time passed and Gash grew more impatient still missing his prize, but treason would not be allowed in Gash's domain. In a few months time he had became aware that the animals were protecting him, many of his beast returning not with man made marks but claws and scratches not able to be done by just one shape shifter. Gash's motto over the course of the next few months became "If its living, kill it." That motto begun stretching into the forest, hunting every crevice for not only Reeve and Reid, but every creature that was not on his side.

Because they were always moving around they both got into a habit of building shelters in the forest out of twigs and leaves or marking caves that were cleaned out as temporary shelters so they always had a place to stay no matter where they went in the forest, this made things a lot easier when the travelled and didn't have to build a shelter each time they went anywhere and while being migratory wasn't exactly how he planned to spend his new life he wouldn't deny he enjoyed it; each day was an adventure and they always saw something new, Reeve became more fearless when it came to climbing and jumping from trees and he encouraged Reid to join in on his fun; it honestly didn't bother him he had no other human friends out here, he was content with just the two of them and the animals for company.

When it came to feelings Reeves was...a bit of a moron, okay a LOT of a moron, he was romantically inept in the sense he couldn't tell if someone was attracted to him unless they spelt it out pretty clearly, even though he and Reid literally shared everything together and were obviously close, Reeve just didn't equate it to being in love because he had no idea what love felt like, he'd spent almost his whole life previously, being abused by people, no surprises there; all Reeve knew was he was content with the life he had, sure it was a little wild and different from his life in America but he had a whole bunch of forest friends and he had Reid, that's all the mattered to him.

Months of climbing and travelling from place to place every few days, meant that the two of them had changed a bit, Reeve's hair had gotten so long he almost looked like a girl at one point until he'd gotten Reid to help him cut it roughly into something more manageable and all the exercise and travel meant they were both in tip top condition in case a fight ever came around, which it did; sometimes Gash would send minions after them or other humans would attack them but they always dealt with it and Reeve tried his best not to kill anyone, only doing so when they absolutely had to.

When Gash began slaughtering all the animals that were protecting them he knew it was time to move on fro the forest and head to another part of Eden "We should leave before he wipes out all the wildlife here" He said to Reid as he examined the dead bodies of two panthers, some snakes and a deer; he didn't want to fight Gash, a being that could raise the dead, and he wouldn't deny the other scared him quite a bit.

Reid stood above Reeve, bow slung across his shoulder. He stayed alert to his surroundings, at this point he would follow Reeve anywhere. He glanced at the mourning male and placed his hand on his shoulder, it was his way of saying that he was there for him. He didn't let his guard down for more than a second, quickly looking around again.

Reeve sighed a bit; there was nothing he could do for the dead other then let the circle of life go about its merry way, the carnivores would eat the dead and what was left would nurture the soil and grow plants for the herbivores. Standing up he nodded a little and took Reid by the hand "Lets go" He said softly as he headed out of the forest, glancing back at the forest with the animals every so often sadly; he had made a lot of friends back there but he let them all go to try and keep them safe in the hopes that Gash would spare them when he realized they had moved on.

[Reid and Reeve = Exit?]

Gash had finally found them, birds flying overhead much too high for Reeves or Reid to see but he could only laugh, the thought of them leaving their only safe haven made the whole ordeal seemingly too easy, he would not only welcome them on the mountain but invite them in the caves with open arms, however he did not stop killing the animals merely because they left; he had already started and there was no point in stopping now. The only creature that consistently avoided him was the massive jungle snake in the area, the rest were merely on the run, as far as he knew there was only one of the snake and was not a creature to be trifled with. Reeve and Reid had appeared to miss the clues of where Gash is, where he flew, where the undead were coming from, thinking they might be safe on the mountain was much like finding fool's gold, bittersweet.
